Stuart Brooks provides skilled, thoughtful counsel and seasoned courtroom advocacy. A former prosecutor and assistant district attorney, Stuart brings to the firm the benefit of substantial litigation experience in superior and district courts across North Carolina. Stuart takes pride in using his trial and courtroom experience with the goal of helping people achieve the best possible outcome depending on their unique situation.
Stuart maintains a robust criminal and DWI practice, and brings to the firm’s criminal practice group the advantage of having been involved in a number of homicide and serious felony cases and investigations, and draws on a distinct understanding of a prosecutor’s likely analysis of a case to the benefit of the firm’s clients.
As a member of the firm’s civil practice group, Stuart also represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation and estate disputes in a variety of contexts. Stuart is experienced in professional license defense and state bar matters, civil and criminal appeals, business and partnership disputes, and representing individuals and businesses before government agencies and in administrative investigations.
Stuart is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association, and has previously held leadership positions in the Young Lawyers Division of the Forsyth County Bar.
